[gdal-dev] Vector only GDAL build?

Does anyone have experience or information about building GDAL without LibTIFF? We are using GDAL only for vector data conversions, yet are faced with updating GDAL a second time due to reported security vulnerabilities in libTIFF. Thanks. -Jim _
