a short update to my problem.
Setting AxisMappingStrategy to OAMS_TRADITIONAL_GIS_ORDER it seems to fix my
problem. (GDAL 3.0.1)
Transformation from 31466 to 3857 (and reverse) and 4326_3857 (and reverse)
returns the same coordinates as FME.

Disabling https check, it works!
Testing in a Linux environment, with GDAL 2.2.2, I don't have the https
issue, so I assume that the SSL certificates are only checked in versions >
2.2.2, correct?
About the object key for Google Cloud Storage, anyone have an idea?
