Hi,
Antonio, a regular contributor to discussions on the mailing list, has
submitted quite a few good quality patches, mainly related to SAR formats,
over the last few months whose several have already been applied. See the

I'll read closer. Indeed, I see EWKBToGeometry is already there.
However, I'm pretty sure that feature *creation* still uses WKT, which
would explain the drift in my round-trip case. So, a different patch
:) that should not require any guidance about where's and how's.
Thanks Frank,

Hi Daniele,
Nice detective work! Good to know the reason for the outage.
You're very kind to offer the libraries yourself. If java.net haven't
solved their cooling issues by tomorrow, I'd be keen to take you up.
Even - thanks for the tip about GDAL 1.7.3 for the latest version of
imageIO-ext.
Hi Andy,
I think it's the first time that the whole java.net is down. (Unluckily, our
ImageI/O-Ext project is hosted there).
Looking for info on IRC and Twitter [1], I have found that the cooling
system on their data center is down.
Then they have turned off all the sites :(
I hope it will be back

Hi Andreas,
What URL did you eventually use to download the GDAL native libraries? I
only ask because the java.net website seems to be up the creak, with every
page reporting:
10.5.4 503 Service Unavailable
The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary
