Hi there!
I'd an install error about gdal-1.6.0.
I tried to install Map server on my solaris 10 intel server.
I 'd already installed all the necessary packages like gcc, php, mysql etc.
Then I configure gdal like
./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config --without-python

Thanks Markus.
However I'm a bit concerned that this bug appears to have been known since a
few months by some distro, not only Ubuntu... Distro bug trackers are
certainly a useful thing, but unfortunately what comes in them has a high
change of getting unnoticed here. Not sure how that could g
Hello,
If you are using OGR, because certain drivers support reading/writing
of FeatureStyles, you should probably try to build on top of them
(which is what I have done - linking into the Quartz API of OS X with
my own style clases)
OGCs web mapping standards use a format called SLD, web (
Hi Ben,
I can't recall the exact details of how the GRASS r.in.gdal mechanism
works, but the results you describe are similar to importing calibrated
data into an integer raster. Calibrated SAR data is typically
represented as floats, as many of the values are in [0, 1), if I am not
mistaken. As s
Phil,
I am using GDAL 1.6.0-5 and GRASS 6.4.0RC3. I guess my question was
more whether it was possible to keep the data in complex format, with
two layers per channel for imaginary and real components. I'm having a
hard time getting the image to look and have the values of a "real"

Hi
Thank you for the information!
At my work, we have a proprietary spatial database. We have outgrown
our current structure used to describe the style of features as we want
to more richly describe the style.
Can you suggest a replacement for us? What do others use?
Thanks,
Andy.

Dear List,
Yesterday I did an install of the latest svn gdal release (think it is 1.7) to
my local machine. I am interested in using the gdal_fillnodata.py application
to fill some lines in my Landsat 7 ETM data. When I run the code
python gdal_fillnodata.py -md 400

Hi list,
I'm currently working on a gdal reproject plugin for quantum gis. I'm
confronted with following problem:
I found a warp tutorial [1] for a simple reprojection yesterday, but it
doesn't work as it should.
The code creates a new GTiff with a new coordinate system, but the warp
