It still crashes when I write my code properly too.
$ gcc -c -Wall --ansi -Wno-deprecated --verbose -save-temps -g -DDEBUG
`wx-config --cflags` -o wxsimple.o wxsimple.cpp
Using built-in specs.
Target: i386-redhat-linux
