Can you add -v when invoking gcc and give that output because stdio.h should
have already been in /usr/include because that is the standard place for it.

Well stdio.h that GCC installs is a fixed up include file so I don't know what
is wrong here at all. Can you give a full example of a program that goes wrong
and the error message?
