I've changed both those references, and have attached a new package to the
Ubuntu bug report for the reporter to test. I'll report back with results that
the tester has.

Could this cause the bug if optimisations are enabled? I don't know anything
about the vpnc source, I just uploaded the last two Ubuntu revisions.
