I downloaded the latest version I could find from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/?source=typ_redirect. It is
version 5.3.0. The problem does not exist with version 5.3.0. My apologies
for not finding

I am using Windows 10. Find below the output when run from the command prompt
