Hi,
now gcc-4.8.3 is stable in Gentoo. It have the same issue.
gcc -march=native -E -v - &1 | grep cc1
/usr/libexec/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.8.3/cc1 -E -quiet -v -
-march=corei7-avx -m

I have a Celeron 847 CPU. march=native detects:
