the above patch breaks libssp on mingw32:

same for me on mingw, bootstrap fails with patch. I get:
/e/mingw_build/build-gcc/./gcc/xgcc -B/e/mingw_build/build-gcc/./gcc/
-L/e/mingw_build/build-gcc/mingw32/winsup/mingw -L/e/mingw_build/build
-gcc/mingw32/winsup
