commands done (as root):
apt-get install linux-source build-essential bin86 kernel-package gcc gcc-3.4
libncurses5 libncurses5-dev fakeroot libglade2-dev
make gconfig
make-kpkg clean
sudo make-kpkg --initrd --stem linux
