Question, how is the uid for a type calculated? What are the
contributing factors?
Can I count on the uid for a type in a header to be the same across all
compilation units that use that header?

I am playing around with a plug-in for gcc but recently ran into the
road block that plug-ins aren't supported on Windows. Are there any
plans to add support for the windows platform in the future? If not,
what are the issues with supporting Windows and how much effort would it
be to add

I currently have a plugin for gcc 4.5 that works great. However, the
need has arisen to have the same plugin run on gcc 3.4.5. Knowing
that the plugin api wasn't added until 4.5 I was wondering if anyone
could tell me how much pain i would be in for if I attempt to backport
the plugin api
