iki? How does this work with a patch system? How do you propose to resolve
conflicts between a user edit, and maintainer's patch? Maybe I'm ignorant to
the capabilities of a wiki, but this is where it sounds like incompatible
systems.

I would have thought that too.
For reference, there is this GCC bug report:

/usr/local --enable-doc --disable-libssp
Thread model: single
gcc version 4.2.0 20070430 (prerelease) (WinAVR 2007xxyy)
This is building from the "core" .bz2 and "c++" .bz2 packages.

And it seems to have some issues:
quality is deemed sufficient. If it takes longer to do a
release then so be it. Politely point out what is left to get done. The
status reports are a helpful reminder of the state of the branch.

my list.
Please note that I am *only* interested in bugs that affect, or may affect,
the AVR port at this time. I have no desire to mess around with bugs that
involve other areas.
Thanks for your time,

Plus there is a long lead time between when it is implemented on HEAD, then
branched, released from a branch, and then when it shows up in binary
distributions.

You could always equate the macro to some inline assembly like what is done
for a number of avr-libc macros.

econdary is a good thing, and about time
too. Thank you for proposing this.
What would it take to get the avr target to secondary platform status? Not
that I believe it will happen immediately.
Thanks

tupid for the FSF to
assume that the only way a user will use the software is that they build it
themselves. There should be an innate ability and a simple and easy method
for relocation of the software.

s (because of the confirmation
process). Is there someone who could help me with this offline?
Thanks for your time.
