i went into my /dev and did this
rm acd*
rm wcd*
and ran
sh MAKEDEV acd? /* four times where ?=0,1,2,3
each of those created a /dev/acd?a and acd?c
i tried mounting my cdrom from all 8 of the new devices..
you should rerun MAKEDEV in your /dev directory.
