It was an 5.1 install then upgraded to 5-current via... the handbookand i followed it to the letter. I have had no problems compiling other code so i assume its either a firebird code issue or its the modified gcc freebsd 5.x compiler. Thanks for all the help guys. On Sat, 18 Oct 2003 15:17:
