I've been getting the activation failed message since I started running
current. I'm using an atheros based card, and it works fine after I insert
it, remove it, and insert it again. The first insertion produces the cbb0:
activation failed message, and on the second insertion it recognizes it

You using a dell laptop? They got the broken acpi aml code. There is a
patch out to fix it, its located here:

I'm getting a kernel panic on the dell inspiron 5150 (3.06 ghz cpu
without HT, latest bios + some patches to fix utallocate errors) I'm
not sure if this is related to the latest barrage of commits that John
just did, becuase i didn't have this machine running before then.
