Hi,
while searching the cause why "set vfs.root.mountfrom=cd9660:acd0c"
fails I found that when I do a "show disk/ad0" (when /dev/ad0* exists)
causes a panic: ( repeated make_dev("ad0")...)
while "show disk/acd0" doesn't.
So we have two unrelated problems here:
1.) getdiskbyname() panics the sys

a few things to note:
- Loading the new kernel & acpi.ko with the old loader freezes the loader.
- Loading acpi.ko by hand with the new loader freezes or endless-loops the loader.
- Letting the new loader using the acpi.ko brings the system up and running except my
sound-system

Hi,
with -current as of yesterday I get partial success.
My configuration:
- Tecra8000
- 256MB Ram
- ad0: IBM DARA 25000 @ UDMA33
- ad1: IBM DARA 26480 @ UDMA33
- kernel and modules in sync, fresh buildworld, buildkernel...
- Nonstandart-options:
o enabled apm, acpi, usb, pcm, pci
