Cdparanoia could not find a way to read audio from this drive.

I do have pass in my kernel ... doesn't seem to work in 9
$cdcontrol info works just fin
io/cdparanoia/work/cdparanoia-III-alpha9.8/interface'
gmake: *** [all] Error 2
*** Error code 1
Stop in /usr/ports/audio/cdparanoia.
So you got any idea what to do ?
How to access CDDA ?
