I am using the Mac version of qsynth and I am getting very high CPU usage

I am using fluidsynth to playback midi files and I was wondering was there a
way of telling it to ignore key velocity when playing them back? Is this a
setting that should be made in the soundfont itself? Unfortunately I need
this as part of a larger project so just making the velocities on th
