/usr/local/lib is in /etc/ld.so.conf
ran ldconfig
cd in to evas,
./autogen.sh --enable-scale-smooth --enable-cpu-c
--enable-cpu-mmx --enable-cpu-sse
make
i get this:
/bin/sh ../..
