It's not clear what you want to do with menus. You can bring them up
with __A_SHOW_MENU.
basically, I use a trackball & half of the time I bring up a menu I
end up selecting the wrong entry.. eg. instead of iconifying a window
I annihilate it... rather awkward depending on what's runnning
