As posted before, I also have the exact same problem (debian unstable here)
I've even blown away all me e17 directories (.e etc) in the hope it was
old config but still no change

I'm using the latest cvs version of enlightenment 17 (as of 3rd October)
and the engage application.
when running engage from the command line i get the following errors
(and no transparency around engage):
Esmart_Trans Error: Could not read root window pixmap property!

Whats the current level of functionality of the screen lock? All it does
on my system is bring up the screen saver, I can no longer set a
password (or should i say i don't know how to set the password). Is
this where things are on the cvs right now or am i missing something?

I'd like to know why some applications appear in the menu while others dont
example
I have thunderbird and firefox, both have .desktop files in the
/usr/share/applications directory only but only thunderbird appears
under the "Generated Menus"->"Internet" menu
Firefox is not to be found in any
