Since I switched to the new E, when my screen is locked, my screen is
also off.
Several times, I've pushed a key, and nothing, screen still off, for
sometimes several seconds until finally it slowly fades back on and I
can finally enter my screensaver password.
I honestly don't need this slow fade

Ok, I have a pretty confusing situation. I've spent hours on it and
gotten nowhere.
After playing with dpi settings and font sizes on a 4K laptop, I'm
trying to get the perfect font that isn't too small and not too big, but
that's actually an issue in both height and width.

You can install additional font packages for your distribution, Terminology
will find them.
Alternatively you can install fonts manually. Normally I do this
system-wide, installing to /usr/local/share/fonts/whatever and then running
fc-cache. I think now you can install fonts locally to
