I am using e17 on Debian Stretch and have the tiling module enabled.
Tiling works well on everything I've tried except for libreoffice.
Libreoffice will display only one full screen at a time. I have to
minimized one screen in order to get to another.

no sense on a typical Ubuntu system.
And you can easily modify the script to meet your specific needs.
