Thanks for the reply. Setting the LC_ALL variable seems to be the problem, because it overrides all LC_* environment variables with the given value. Is there a way to prevent e from changing the LC_ALL variable? (Wouldn't it actually make more sense if e didn't change the LC_ALL variable at all?
