optionally add -lintl
I use FreeBSD 6 and it works fine.

Anyway, I just recently upgraded two of my machines to FC5 from FC4
(clean install). I've got an nVidia card in them and the following is a
common problem between both machines:

I think engage is not meant to work standalone with e17. On the
contrary, it should be used as a module.
If you already use it as a module, maybe you can read that topic
