Yeah, it looks like you missing quite a bit of the defualt theme. It
would bee in the enlightenment-0.16.999.015 package, you could try
downloading it again mabye, or getting the code from the Sourceforge cvs.

Accoring to the get-e.org user guide, when I point e17setroot at an .edj
file, it should change
my E17 background (but not my X background unless I point it at an image
file). However, e17setroot
actually seems to change my X background (even when pointing at an image
file) and never my
E17 back
All themes but the default theme were broken after the latest e17
updates. Milky and BlueEyed have both been updated to fix this -- check
www.get-e.org for new files. As for the other themes, you will have to
wait for the maintainers to update them.

Ok, now I get past the missing default_entry.edc only to trip to:
/usr/local/bin/edje_cc: Error. unable to load image for image
"focus.png" part entry to ../../data/themes/default.edj

For some reason I have not been able to get to cvs.sourgeforge.net. It
times-out everytime. So if you are so kind as to send me a copy. It
might be a good idea to fix the sources at enlightenment.freedesktop.org
