Hi,
I wanted to use erss with proxy authentication. I saw the sample config
on http://get-e.org/Documentation/User_Guide_pages/4.5.html and could
set the proxy server and the port, but not the username and password. I
tried to give username:[EMAIL PROTECTED] but it didn't
work... :(

this happens if the person you are installing as cannot write to the
area. i.e. if you are installing as root (as you should) but the source
is on an nfs-mounted drive with root-squash switched on.
(That is how it happened for me anyhow)
