-branch xc (this may take a while)
the rest of the instructions for building and testing are on the dri website.

could run gl stuff no problem
using utah-glx but it was no where near as stable as the DRI stuff.
if there are any options for controlling the behaviour of the Xserver for
this card it would be greatly appreciated if someone could let me know...

Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server
Couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB keymap
Could not init font path element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo/, removing
from list!

[end of log]
You see that there is no reference to DRM anywhere for DRI being started.
when I run glxinfo it tells me that there is no direct rendering. However I
have noticed that for some reason the ModulePath directory defined in
XF86Config as /usr/X11R6-DRI/lib/modules is being ignored! you will notice
that in the log file produced by a user gives all modules loaded from the
path /usr/X11R6/lib/modules. How does one fix this modulepath problem or run
XFree86 as root?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for your time
