About a month ago someone made the suggestion of setting my bus type to PCI to see if it fixed the bug where enabling DRI loading in xorg.conf would lockup X... It worked. The performance is about 1/10th of what it is with fglrx, but it actually does work, and glxinfo does confirm I'm using the
