I tried to compile the latest version of XFree from CVS. What I did is:
mkdir DRI-CVS
cd DRI-CVS/
cvs -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/dri login
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/dri co xc
ln -s xc XFree40
mkdir build
cd build
lndir -silent -ignorelinks ../XFree40
