Which Trac version are you using?
If you're >= 0.10 you could use the SpamFilter plugin (
http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/SpamFilter ). Performs wonders you know

I've cleaned out the more-than-1000 spams we got today on the Django
Trac installation, and I've banned the IP address.
