The Javascript way is the only way if both combo boxes are on the same
page (i.e. the selection must be initiated on the client side.) You can
add extra javascript easily in admin by using the "js" option in admin,
so you won't need to actually override any templates.

Before I get into the details, I think I should introduce myself.
My name is Doug Napoleone and I have only been using django for about 6
months. I worked on the PyCon06 PyCon-Tech project and am trying to
kick off the PyCon07 tech work.

The validation stuff isn't finished and isn't intended to be used yet.
Move along, nothing
I just noticed today that if I have a CharField primary_key, with
'blank=False', the system doesn't actually ever validate that the
field isn't empty.
I tracked down the check to the method 'validate_full' which lives in
db/models/fields/__init__.py
It seems to me that this function is never bei

Good day to all,
An update on how the development of Row Level Permissions are going.
For this project, I am using the content-type contrib package to create
a generic table to store the row level permissions. Currently the model
for row level permission is:
class RowLevelPermission(models.Mode
As in the title, how do I populate a combo box's content from another
combo box? I know the javascript way, but I'm not quite content with
the overriding of admin templates, so is there an easier way to do so?
Thanks.

I'm kind of +1 for leaving it off by default - I'm not keen on data
getting munged behind my back.
