Only when reading this the second time did I realize why it seems odd to
me -- you say "the memory stick mounts ..". But the memory stick does
not "mount", it "is mounted" -- by whatever execut
Could be. Or as Richard said, I could set up dovecot.

stopped working on tbird, and my last imap mail on this account is dated
July 29.
There is a Gmail setting for less secure apps that I can set. I've been
avoiding doing that
