blocking calls in upowerd

2010-08-18 Thread Matthias Clasen
We've finally tracked down my polkit<>upower problems to a race condition between polkit and CK, but before leaving the upower code base, I thought I should point out that calls like result = polkit_authority_check_authorization_sync (polkit->priv->authority, subject, action_id, NULL, POLKIT_CHECK

some more upower fixes

2010-08-17 Thread Matthias Clasen
We're continuing to see problems with upower and polkit 0.97, so I've been looking at the upower code some more. I haven't found our issue yet, but I noticed that some of the dbus call have the misfeature of returning twice (or not at all). I've also thrown in some memory leak fixes. Matthias dif

upower segfault

2010-08-12 Thread Matthias Clasen
I noticed that upower segfaults when run with polkit 0.97. The reason is an extra sanity check in polkit that uncovers a few cases on uninitialized GError pointers in upower. I know Richard is on vacation for a while, so I thought I'd send the patch here in the meantime, for others to pick it up.
