XP isn't going to expire and I would find it sad if a choice was taken
to actively remove code that allowed it to work. Dropping XP support
signals a finite lifetime of hardware based on its software, which
isn't good from an ecologi

It seems to me however that I need most of qeventdispatcher_glib.cpp
and just to insert the calls required for my library to interact with
the system. Is that a fair statement or would that be overkill for
reimplementing my own QEventDispatcher?
