en if it's a good addition, I understand the fact about not
integrate this in the standard Apache Tomcat distribution (option 1)
to prevent having too huge distribution with some new external
dependencies.

I'd like to extend Tomcat to support the Passive Requestor Profile of
WS-Federation and contribute this to the community.
What is the approach I should proceed? Shall I log JIRA and apply the
