Thats what I thought as well when I started with this bug. This jar:file:
syntax is based on an URLConnection and there isn't one used in the whole
MangerServlet or HTMLManagerServ

+1 to making the docs and the functionality consistent.
Personally, I'd lean towards figuring out if the jar:file: syntax ever worked
and it if was look at why/when it broke and h
