Alessandro,
Thanks for reorganizing the tracking on JIRA and for your thoughts
encouraging contributions on this effort. I have also updated the component
link and minutes of the meeting shared by Kevin (thanks Kevin!) on the Solr
Wiki.
I tried to access the kanban board but it looks like I don't
I added another topic to the meeting notes

add their topics. Although a
personal recommendation would be to share them here and I can collate them
into the meeting notes before the meeting.

I am happy to do it. Any broad list of topics for the first meeting?

Would it be a bad idea to postpone this to next Wednesday same time?
Thursday is the Juneteenth holiday so I am setting off for an early
long-weekend tomorrow.
Few others might be in a similar boat(?). Also, as you said, gives some of
the regulars who were at Berlin Buzzwords a chance to attend (?)
Very interested in this space. A personal area of interest with Vector
search in Solr for me is to be able to utilize a local language model
instead of having to make remote API calls for text-to-vector conversion.
Have tinkered with creating a custom UpdateRequestProcessor for this using
ONXX runt
doesn't require changing any files either.

For additional context, this is working fine on Windows. Failing
consistently on MacOS.

I checked out main, and then "gradlew dev". Tried running the techproducts
example, but it seems to get into some exception with initializing the
context (hitting 503 error).
Logs are complaining about AccessControlException while trying to access a
temp location. I have tried the example flow in
e we discussed that:

Getting a weird error while running "gradlew assemble" on a feature branch
for a PR. On both Windows and MacOS.
gradle is not my area of expertise, and so wanted to check if the issue is
obvious to anyone before I go down the path of following the resolution
steps. Or maybe even something that mi

Hi,
I only recently got to know about the monthly community meetups (I blame
myself since I goofed up and didn't realize I am only subscribed to the
Solr user list, not the dev list!). Looking forward to the one on 05/21.
I saw the Meeting notes wiki shared by Jason (

"Achieving zero downtime and zero cost index upgrade in Apache Solr".
Would be nice to have more discussions around the topic if the presentation
gets picked!

I came across this JIRA where support for text-to-vector for a query was

In the ticket, Alessandro mentions:
"Other tasks I see coming:
- UpdateRequestProcessor to add the indexing time support

Interesting survey. I would like to see the results myself. Can’t see a
link which displays aggregated stats. Will they be shared anywhere, maybe
later?

Open to further discussion on the JIRA/PR if more fields need to be added

Had a brief chat about this fix on the Slack channel and submitted a formal
PR accordingly. Requesting someone to please review the patch and help
kickoff the discussion on this.
