Things that would help:
- apply each others patches and comment on the jira "this worked for me".
- vote for the issues they need
- ping the dev list when there is a group of related patches available
that someone could do in one hit, as a reminder.
I agree it's an important thing to encourage
For what it's worth, from my work with Harmony, I've seen that maintaining a
high patch application rate provides an enormous boost to contributions. The
more people see their patches being applied and released, the more they'll
contribute.
In any case, is there anything that contributors can do t
I don't want to negatively bias the patches I sent in (as I obviously
think they are high priority :) but I am available to amend anything I
have sent in patches for if that helps the patch process.

I'll look into some of them...

I keep track of them and I now count 223 outstanding. I know many are
sometimes a bit off base, but there's two problems with this:
- we have potential fixes for issues already

We generally do them one at a time. We should do them faster so there is
less of a problem, but the fact that they get out of date, or don't
quite work as they should makes that a slow process.
You'll need to manually add the rejections after the sources have
changed. If you want to keep them

That's correct, and you've been doing a great job! That said, if you get
inclined on the core, you can submit patches for those that don't have them.

Arnaud,
I've been creating patches for some of the issues on the 1.1 beta 3 roadmap.
The ones there are pretty simple, if you're looking for things on the
1.x side :-)

For plugins, pick one you are interested in and look at the outstanding
issues, like Mike has been
ok for me if it can be done in 3/4 hours (is it enough ?).
I could do it before the end of the week.
Perhaps between tonight and tomorrow night.
We are so much late on m1, that it will not change a lot of things ;-)
In theory I'm already committer on mojos (and I think) on m2 plugins.
Any pointers
Brett, I can spend a few hours this weekend working on it. Just assign
as many as you want to me and I'll plow through them in a few days.
I was also hoping to go through some of the mojos and apply outstanding
patches. I applied for mojo commit access but I haven't heard if it's
live yet.
mike
I was recently looking at the rss feeds for some places to contribute
patches and noticed that almost all of them have patches already. I'm
not currently an Apache committer, but I wouldn't mind helping out with
patches to start.
