without a mavenHome (because we are running the build in a Docker container and

Given the EOL of Maven 2.x and the fact that the Maven Ant tasks are based on
Maven 2 .. can we EOL them and remove them off the site as well?
People wanting use use Maven based resolution should be directed to the Aether
Ant tasks .. they work very well for me.

Could only get the site to build with Maven 3 and the Site 3.0-beta-3
And you can only build Maven ANT Tasks with Maven 2.2.1
After a little fix I just built the site with maven 2.2.1 and site
plugin 2.2.
Some of the issues seem to be around the Cobertura instrumentation
No problem
the coverage is always 0% because the instrumentation is borked with
shading, so the tests bomb out and coverage is 0%... at least it was lat
week when I did 2.1.2

My understanding of the requirements for the source release are that they
should match identically to the source used to build the binaries. For all
intents and purposes, they should have the same content as the tag.
