Can you remove the files that are owned by you in the /turbine/maven
directory on daedalus? Some of the directories are not writabel by the
group

If you are asking this to setup a redirect from /turbine/maven to
maven.apache.org, it is already done. You can create a .htaccess file
in the /turbine directory to accomplish this.
