Fyi: This seems to be the cause of our current grief on jenkins builds.

I don't think that's a typo. The 1.6 is exclusive, and the example says it
"honours versions 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5" (thus not including 1.6).
Great that you take the time to create patches for these small (yet important)
things, though.
