I tested building the source bundle. It fails on Mac due to the test for
MRELEASE-383 that I thought I had fixed (but the test seems to be incorrect as
reported in the issue). I'll see if I can correct the test on trunk but I don't
think it should hold up the release (even though it's incons

I found MNG-4489 which is supposedly fixed in a6 but this implies proxies
should be working.
Basically it's ignoring what I have in my settings.xml and connecting directly
for _some_ artifacts!?
