The PMD and CPD check goals are not documented at all. I just checked
in a simple update to howto.apt which adds some check details. I would
like to see this fleshed out a little.
I would also like to see http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MPMD-24
addressed as it basically renders the check goa
Here's a new RC. I've fixed MNG-2196. Please give this a try when you

Looks interesting Eric. As soon as you have it in a definitive place
we can add a link from the maven site.

The release plugin seems to be in limbo. The latest version and site
are almost 6 months old. JIRA has 27 open, unscheduled issues. Is
anyone working on this? Would it be useful to issue a new release if
only to get the 5-10 bugs which have been fixed since Oct and updated
site documentation?

Hello everyone,
First off, I'd like to thank Maven team for developing this great tool. I'm
really enjoying it.
What I'd like to address though is the default encoding of Maven;
ISO-8859-1. Why don't we just use UTF-8 as a default value? Is there any
reason for using ISO-8859-1?

I take it that @requiresDependencyResolution is a 1.5 annotation for a java
mojo. For this perticular case, I do not have a Java mojo, only ant based.
If I want to add that (requiresDependencyResolution) to my mojo.xxx.xml file,
how do I do that?

IIUC, what you want is to use a variable populated with the expression:
${project.artifacts}
This will be a collection of artifacts pre-constructed from the
transitive dependency closure of that project.
Don't forget to add @requiresDependencyResolution to your mojo's
metadata as well to guarant
