GH doesn't fall over often, so that's less and less of a reason. But
there's still a nice feeling of security in being able to pull from
our own repo. The other day, I could't reach most of Rackspace due to
routing problems on the wider internet. I was able to reach JRuby.org
fine. Anyway, probably

Please push to the repositories on Github for the time being.
I wanted to bring down jruby.org to make some configuration changes,
but in the process did not realize that when I initially set up the
git repositories (manually), they did not reside on an EBS volume, so
they are missing.
