cucumber tests work with Azul Zulu Java 17, but not with stock ubuntu OpenJDK 17

The tests break when run with the OpenJDK 17 that comes with Ubuntu 22.04. They do run and pass for me when I use Azul Zulu Java 17. Is this surprising at all? Is it worth a bug report? The first failure looks like something related to Spring. Anyone know what's special about the Azul Zulu Java 17
