The VJUG (Virtual Java User Group) does this all the time. AFAIK they use
youtube streaming.

A coworker of mine has mentioned before that Apache OpenMeetings is used
quite a bit in the Russian developer community. I haven’t tried it out
myself yet, but it’s open source. :)
