Ah, yes, sorry - in Sanselan we only had a developers list and no user
list - therefore I forgot to mention this on the Sanselan list and only
spoke about the dev

To get to the crux of my issue: I want to be able to read/write jpeg
images with metadata over a network connection. To do this I read/write
input/outputstreams.
