I've tested building and unit testing on a bunch of Java platforms [1] and all
looks well. If there is a specific Java version that you would like to test,
let me know and I'll put it on my to-do list.

In removing the remote-resources-plugin I ommitted to add back local
resource configuration for the NOTICE.tx and LICENSE.txt files.
Because of this I would like to do another release of commons-parent.

Unfortunately when I removed the remote-resources-plugin[1] from
commons-parent I missed the fact that the "resources" configuration
needed to be added back in (it was removed when the remote resources
plugin was added[2]). So now the NOTICE.txt and LICENSE.txt files are
not configured to be added
